MLDP is split up into two sections. Both take place on Tuesday nights, see the schedule below.
Session - 4:30 - 6:30 pm
Session - 6:00 - 8:00 pm
MLDP takes place every Tuesday evening starting with the second week of classes and going through Week 10 of the term (9 total sessions). There is an off-campus visit to a local business. The program also includes a small amount of readings and exercises outside of the weekly sessions to help to prepare you each week.
Throughout the program, you will focus on a "personal leadership challenge". A personal leadership challenge exercise in this program is defined as the process of identifying and working through a specific challenge that you are currently struggling with as a student/student leader. If address this challenge, you will have stepped outside your comfort zone and strengthened your leadership and management capacity.
MLDP selects students as ambassadors each term to serve in an elevated role in the program as participants. Ambassadors facilitate conversations at dinner, are expected to be a living example of excellence inside and outside of the program, and help be a sounding board for feedback between fellow participants and the staff. If you would be interested in this role, please describe below how you feel you would be the right fit.
Please contact Robin Frye if you have any questions.
