  • Quilting Service

    I specialize in edge-to-edge quilting, which is a design that crosses the quilt from one side edge to the other side edge, to cover the entire quilt. I use a hand-guided Gammill machine. Since this is hand-guided by a human (me) do not expect absolute perfection .... pretty close but I am not a robot. Nevertheless, I am very confident you will be delighted with the results.
  • How Much Will It Cost?

  • Your cost will depend on a few things. Additional services may be required if the quilt needs to be squared, as best as possible, borders are rippling, seams on edges need to be resewn, piecing the back and any other minor quilt repairs, then there will be an additional charge of $25.00/hr. Otherwise my base rate is 2.5 cents per square inch. If you should choose a more dense design then the rate will increase to 3.0 cents/sq. in.

    For example if your quilt is 70"x80" you would figure it out like this:

    70x80x.025 = $140.00

    There is a $50.00 minimum charge for any quilts you submit.

    All charges are in Canadian dollars.

  • Batting

  • I love Hobb's 80/20 Heirloom and almost always use it. If you prefer another brand let me know and I will see what I can do.

  • Trimming

  • Threads

  • There is no charge for thread or bobbins. I use Glide and have a few neutral colours in Superior's Omni and can order other colours if you wish.

    • If you want a variegated thread there will be a $10. charge.
    • If you want additional colour changes it will be $4./colour.

    I will not use a different colour for the top thread and another for the bottom thread as it is almost impossible to get perfect machine tension, so that you don't see one or the other colour peeking 'thru. It looks terrible.
