Why would like to work with 4-H livestock at the Iowa State Fair?

All applicants must be at least high school freshman. College age applicants are encouraged.
General Livestock Show Assistant – assist with various check-ins, shows, across all species (August 5th-18th)
Horse Show Assistant- provide assistance with check-in, run errands, and work in 4-H horse office. (August 6th - 8th)
Dairy Cattle Judging Contest- assist with inputting data, timekeeper, group leader. (August 7th)
Horticulture Show- provide assistance with check-in and record show results. (August 10th)
Swine Show Assistants- assist in check- in including weighing, reading ear notching, painting and tattooing, line up classes, act as a stewards, run errands and working in 4-H swine office. (August 10th -13th)
Beef Show Assistant - assist with check-in including weighing, measuring and checking identification of steers and heifers, line up classes, act as ring stewards, run errands and work in 4-H beef office. (August 12th - 14th)
Sheep Show Assistants- assist in check-in, including weighing, checking I.D., lining up classes, acting as ring stewards, running errands and working in 4-H sheep office. (August 11th -13th)
Rabbit- provide assistance in setting up and during the shows. (August 14th-15th)
Meat Goat Show Assistants- assist in check-in, including weighing, checking I.D, lining up classes, acting as ring stewards, running errands and working in 4-H swine office. (August 14th - 16th)
Dog Show-provide assistance in setting up for shows & carry out of show (August 18th)
