Tree Plantings & Maintenance

Plant Trees with the James River Association

If you love our river, join us in protecting the James by volunteering to help plant the native tree seedlings, or maintain our current projects! Meeting locations will be shared upon registration.

All tools and instruction will be provided and you will be working alongside our staff. All ages are welcome, but youth under age 18 should have a parent or guardian present, and participants will need to be comfortable being outside for several hours, traverse uneven ground, and handle a good amount of walking.

Release And Waiver of Liability
I have read this RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, AND PARENTAL CONSENT AGREEMENT, understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it and have signed it freely and without any inducement or assurance of any nature, and intend it be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extend allowed by law and agree that any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect. Further, by signing this waiver, I am acknowledging that the James River Association DOES NOT provide any medical coverage or payments for myself or my minor child in the event of injury or death. I give permission to authorized personnel to carry out such emergency diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as may be necessary for me / my child, and also permit such treatment procedures to be carried out at and by local hospital(s) for me / my child in the event of an emergency. I understand that any medical expenses will be billed directly to me or my insurance company. I hereby grant the James River Association the unconditional right to use my / my child's name, voice, and photographic likeness in connection with any audio video production, articles, website materials or press releases.
