To be completed by the owner of the boat.
Stability of the boat named above is proved by the following method:
To prove stability via an ISO you can either submit a document from the builder or send us a photo of the compliance plate on the boat. You will normally find this in the cockpit; it will look similar to this image:
SCREENING VALUE CALCULATION
To prove stability via a Screening value, you will need the boats Hull Length and the Displacement.
You will also need to provide evidence of how you have established these numbers.
Refer section B.5 on p82 of the Special Regulations for more information on the formula used.
Based on the values you have entered, your Screening Value complies with the entry requirements.
We now need to see evidence of how you have established these values. For example, you might have referenced an old IMS certificate or used builders specifications. Upload this evidence below.
Based on the values you have entered, your Screening Value does NOT comply with the entry requirements.
To comply, your Screening Value needs to be 10 or less.
I certify that since these documents and/or calculations were produced:
· no alteration has been made to the hull structure, keel, rudder, propeller and engine installation, tanks, anchors or batteries;· a new engine, keel or rudder has not been fitted;· the ballast has not been moved or its weight or configuration changed;· gear and equipment has not been added or removed or its location changed;· the mast, boom and spinnaker pole have not been altered or replaced; and· no other change has been made which may affect the stability of the boat, save as detailed below:
I confirm that I understand my responsibilities as laid down in the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race Notice of Race and rules and regulations referred to within the Notice. I confirm that the information referred to above is the most recent stability information for the boat and the above information is true to the best of my knowledge (having made due enquiry), and I undertake to advise the Organising Authority of any changes to the boat made prior to the start of the 2020 Race which could change its stability.
