Summer Internship 2018 Application Form

To apply for a summer research internship at the EPSRC CDT in Digital Civics within Open Lab (Newcastle University), please complete this form by the 21st of June at 16:00. The idea of this form is to be a lightweight application process that can be quickly completed: besides some personal information, applications will be initially assessed based on your answer to the (brief) essay question below.

If accepted, what dates between the 2nd of July and the 22nd of September would you be available to undertake this internship? We are happy to do this for variable periods between 6-10 weeks, depending on candidate needs

Please answer the following assessment question: 'Why would you like to be an intern working in OpenLab on a project related to disability rights?' Please give a 500-700 word answer below (you may wish to develop this ‘offline’ in a Word Processing Program). In the past, stronger answers have shown a genuine interest in being a future researcher and the topic area, as well as referencing personal achievements or experiences.
