  • UNDERSTANDING DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

In Sigma Pi Fraternity, suspension and expulsion are disciplinary actions with key differences:

    • Suspension is temporary, restricting a member's participation in Fraternity activities until they resolve the issue, such as non-payment of dues or minor policy violations. The member remains part of the Fraternity but with limited involvement.
    • Expulsion is permanent and removes a member entirely from the Fraternity, including all rights and privileges. This can result from severe financial delinquency or serious misconduct, such as legal violations or actions harmful to the Fraternity.

In short, suspension is a reversible restriction, while expulsion is a final and complete removal from the Fraternity.
