The CCSU Student Disability Service Testing Center is open to all CCSU students who have been approved for testing accommodations during a given semester. Testing Center appointments are required; walk-ins are not permitted. The Testing Center is fully staffed with paid proctors during its hours of operation and users are completely advised of their responsibilities.
Qualified students are responsible for initiating requests for exams by use of a Testing Request Form, which must be submitted to SDS three to seven business days in advance of the exam date. When SDS receives them, we notify you, the professor, with the date and time the student has requested to take the exam. Students are advised to plan to take their exams at the same time/date as their classmates or at a time/date that has been predetermined by the respective professor.
While students are invited to express a preference, each professor reserves the right to determine the best place to accommodate the student who has been approved for testing accommodations whether that be within their academic department or in the SDS Testing Center. If you determine that SDS should manage the test administration, you must complete this Faculty Exam Proctoring Checklist in its entirety and submit it for processing in a timely manner. Please contact our office with any questions or concerns. Thank you.
