NOTICE: We will test your sunglasses or goggles for excessive levels of these corrosive substances: Sunscreen, bug spray, fuel, alcohol, Windex (or any cleaner that contains ammonia), and salt (from saltwater or sweat). Cleaning your sunglasses or goggles after each use will help against damage from these substances.
If your sunglasses or goggles have been over-exposed to any of these elements your warranty claim will be denied. We strive to manufacture our products to the highest industry standards, however, we cannot control their use and abuse once they have left our facility.
Keep in mind that this warranty is for manufacturing defects - not for damage caused by use and or abuse.
If your inspected item is not found to have a manufacturing defect we may still be able to repair it. We will notify you of the repair costs in the event that the warranty claim is denied. You will have the option to proceed with a repair or to have your item returned to you in the condition that it was received. If you choose to order a repair, you will be issued a discount code for $20 (the value of the warranty processing fee) and then directed to the repair order page.
Upon inspection, if your sunglass or goggle is determined to have a manufacturing defect, we will replace the defective component with a new component (If claim is for a defective lens, then the lens will be replaced and installed into the original frame and if the claim is for a defective frame, the original lenses will be installed into a new frame). If the item that you submit a warranty claim for is a discontinued style, we will issue a coupon code for the original purchase price* of your item, for you to order a new item at Typhoon.com.
*Original purchase price must be confirmed by your proof of purchase (legible receipt from an authorized Typhoon dealer).
In order to properly inspect your sunglass or goggle, you must send the complete sunglass or goggle (include all parts and components) so that your claim can be properly evaluated. If you do not send the complete sunglass or goggle (include all parts and components) your claim will be denied. Shipping costs to send warranty items to Typhoon are the customers' responsibility.
Please clean your sunglasses or goggles before sending them to our warranty department. Wipe them off with a microfiber cloth and clean water - do not use any chemical or soap to clean them off.
There is a non-refundable warranty processing fee of $20 for each warranty claim. If you need to submit multiple items you must submit a separate warranty claim for each item. Do not submit more than one item under one warranty claim - this will delay the standard processing time of your warranty claim.
Shipping of replacement items (to the customer) for U.S. warranty claims is FREE. International warranty claims must pay $25 for shipping of the replacement item (to the customer).
Upon submission of payment you will be sent an email notification with instructions on how to send your sunglasses in for warranty processing. Please allow 4 weeks (from the date we receive your warranty item) for processing. Typhoon will notify you by email after your warranty item has been inspected. If your warranty claim is approved you will receive an additional email notification when the new product has been shipped to you.
