We are looking for up to twenty Non-Profit Organizations to join our Shakespeare in the Park event to provide family-friendly activities, games and exhibits. Non-Profits will benefit through fundraising and community outreach. There are no up-front fees to participate in this event.
Festival Hours: 12:00 pm -10:00 pm, with performances throughout the day. We are currently accepting applications for participation in our Non-Profit Carnival and Activity areas. Deadline is November 7th. Non-Profits will be notified by November 15th, 2017. Spaces are juried and limited.
About the Festival: Shakespeare in the Park is designed to offer a glimpse of the Renaissance Period; to experience a sixteenth century market with artisans, fine crafts, makers, entertainers, food and activity booths (i.e. face painters, kid's crafts, carnival games). The event will feature three mainstage performances of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Midwinter Night’s Dream.
About the Activities: We are looking for non-profit organizations who would like to provide carnival type games, children’s activities, and exhibits. Other than games, these activities can include face painting, art projects, educational activities and more. Activities may be free to the public or may charge an activity fee. If a fee is charged for participation, Organizations will be required to donate 10% of gross receipts to Shakespeare in the Park.
Location: The festival will be held at Tuscawilla Park in Ocala, FL. The event date is Saturday, December 2nd, 2017. Booth Set up is at 9:00 am. All participants must be ready to open by 12:00 pm. Tear down cannot begin until after the intermission of the final performance, approximately 8:15pm, and must be completed by 10:30pm.
