Fee Schedule: In lieu of an up-front fee, SitP is asking its vendors and merchants to pay 10% of sales of up to $1,000 and 5% of sales of anything above that. This will ensure that those involved are able to recoup their costs and SitP will be able to have a smaller quantity of vendors and merchants with higher quality wares.
Festival Hours: Festival Hours 12:00 pm -10:00 pm, with performances throughout the day. We are currently accepting applications for vendors in our Merchant/Vendor areas. Deadline is November 7th. Vendors will be notified by November 15th, 2017. Spaces are juried and limited.
About the Festival: The 2nd Annual Shakespeare in the Park is a day-long arts festival designed to offer a glimpse of the Renaissance Period as well as to entertain and educate with live performances of Shakespeare’s works. Last year we had an estimated 2,000 attendees, even with harsh weather conditions throughout the day.
The goal of the Renaissance portion of the festival is for visitors to experience a sixteenth century market with artisans, fine crafts, makers, entertainers, food and activity booths (i.e. face painters, kid's crafts, carnival games). The event will feature three mainstage performances of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Midwinter Night’s Dream.
Location: The festival will be held at Tuscawilla Park in Ocala, FL. The event date is Saturday, December 2, 2017. Booth Set up is at 9:00 am. All vendors must be ready to open by 12:00 pm. Tear down cannot begin until after the intermission of the final performance, approximately 8:30pm, and must be completed by 11 pm. Any vendors who begin tearing down during the final performance must be quiet and not disturb the performance.
