    • Why and how does it work?
    • Why have a wedding website?

A good wedding website is invaluable for your guests--especially those from out of town, who might not know you both well, or for sharing information with your wedding party.

Don't underestimate its value! You may have seen bad wedding websites but yours will be dynamic, informative, fun, and updated with important information.

You will love to answer a multitude of questions with "It's all on our website!"--believe me!

      How does it work?

You give us the information and we build it.

The "investment" for you is the domain and hosting fees. We don't make any money on this but we love the benefits of running wedding management through the site and updates are easy for us!

      Cost:

Website custom domain - free for one year

Design time - 5 hours or free with full planning packages 75 hours or more

      Web Hosting - $28/mo ($28 x months until wedding)

We deduct the hours and charge you the real fees from your card on file so it's pretty straightforward. Launch is usually within a few days.

If you don't want a wedding website (I'd be sad about this!) let me know in the next section.

      Will it look cheesy?

      Absolutely not.

    • Who are you and what are you doing here?
    • I'll design a cool and informative weddig website which can have a lot of information to keep your guests informed and get them excited about your wedding!

This is especially useful for guests looking for lats minutes details, or those that are planning ahead to find your room block information, things to do in Cincinnati, transportaion information, and more.

Some of the information comes from our planning--room block link, etc. But I need your input and some photos to personalize the site.

That's what these questions are about, so keep in mind what you type will appear on your website!

There will also be a wedding party page which has a password so you can easily communicate other details that your guests don't need to see - and be a little more casual with your comments.

    • Web Address
    • You need a website for your wedding and you can choose the name.

You can make it simple like:

      fredandwilma.com

      theflintstonewedding.com

      or something more fun like:

      rockthenight2018.com

You can find a web address (domain name) and see if it's available here: www.godaddy.com

Don't purchase it! I will purchase and link it to your website. If you want to keep it forever after your wedding it's a simple transfer.

Once you find one (or two) list them below:

    • About Us!
    • This is "your story"--how you met, how your relationship unfolded, how you got engaged, etc. Everyone loves a cute story with some humor and this can be written from each of your perspectives, i.e. "his story" and "her story" and/or from both of you "our story".

I will edit and make any spelling or grammatical changes before it's posted and let you take a look before it's live.

    • Family Page/Photos/Growing Up
    • This page is one which is great for sharing things about yourself, your family, your personal history, etc. Guests love to read things about you and your fiancé! You can also have a gallery of your school pictures, family photos, etc.

    • Message to Our Guests
    • This is pretty self-explantory, but this is usually a sentence or two from you (the couple) to guests visiting your page.

    • Dress Code/Attire
    • Traditional wedding attire wording:

Black tie (tuxedos and formal gowns)
Formal, black tie optional (suit and tie and dresses)
Semi-formal (suit and tie and cocktail dresses)
Cocktail attire (suits and party dresses)
Beach or garden party attire (summer suits and summer dresses)
Casual (button down shirts or polos and summer sundresses or a skirt or pants with a nice blouse)

Fun and unique wedding attire wording samples:

      Dress to impress
Dress: No suits or tuxes required!
      Semi-formal
      Country chic
      Dress: white

    • The Ceremony.

    • Wedding Party.
    • This is where you'll list your wedding party.

      For example:

      Wilma Flintstone.............Maid of Honor............... Bride's Sister..............Bedrock, IL

Hit the gray "Save and Add Row" button after each entry to get a new set of boxes AND when you finish your last entry.

    • The Reception.

    • RSVP's
    • If you want to allow guests to RSVP via your website, let me know that here. If your RSVP requires specific meal selections, we'll need to have that before this is "live" on your page.

    • Gift Registry
    • Provide the name (e.g.Nordstrom) of the registry and the link to the online registry.

If yoy prefer money over gifts, set up a Honeyfund or similar page. I would recommend at least one "gift" site. Register at a store where you can purchase other things. If you shop at Macy's for clothes, for example, you can turn any specific "gift" into a gift card for that store.

Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate and Barrel, etc will limit your "credit" to that store only. You'll never get dollars back so choose wisely!

    • Things to Do
    • If you have suggestions for folks from out of town that may have never visited Cincinnati, and you'd like to recommend some favorite restaurants or things to see while they're in town, list them here. I will provide a link to CincinnatiUsa.com for general information on the city, but if you have favorite restaurants, sights, museums, bars, etc. they'll love your recommendations!

    • Transportation
    • This is where we'll list information about transportation including:

      • How to fly/drive to Cincinnati
      • Getting to your hotel
      • Reception shuttle (if we have them)
      • Uber event code (Up to you but a nice way to cover a portion of your guests Uber rides which you can limit to a certain dates, times, and locations e.g. code works for $5 off their ride from 5pm-12midnight on June 10, 2018 and only to and from Ault Park). You can also offer a Lyft event code. (Both services are active in Cincinnati).
      • Streetcar/Cincy Bell Connector
    • Wedding Party Page (password protected)
    • We'll add information to this as it's available. This will include things your bridemaids and groomsmen need to know like where to get their dresses/tuxes/suits, wedding colors, shoe choices, fun messages from you, etc. There will also be a spot for them to share photos.

We can also make this accessible to your families or create a separate "secret" page for them.

    • Other Events
    • Aside from your Rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception, there are often other events for guests or out-of-town visitors.

      For example:

      Cocktails meet-up

      Survivor's/Out-of-town Brunch

Specific Public Event Meet-Up (Oktoberfest, Fireworks, etc)

If/when you decide these, let me know.

    • The "Composite" Page.
    • Although we use Trello for collaboration during the planning process, I always create a "composite" page accessible to you (the couple) with finalized instructions, timelines, reservation information, etc. as we get closer to your wedding.

Nothing to do here, just a heads up that this will happen down the line.

    • Anything to add?
    • If you have any ideas along the way, or thoughts or comments you may have about your website, let me know here.

I have had couples think of other things/pages they want added so feel free to share.

    • After you submit this form...
    • After you submit this information, there will obviously be things you want to add or change. I'll send you a form update link (and post it in the Website card on Trello) so that we're using the same active page. Also, note that the charges above will apply...you agree by submitting this form for design. Stay tuned...
