Deadline: June 30, 2017 @ 11:59 p.m. EST
It’s back! Our on-stage Pitch Event invites select game creators to present their in-progress games in to a live jury and audience at the Games for Change Festival. We are looking for games that creatively respond to current political events to encourage civic engagement.
Apply for the chance to demo your game live in front of potential partners, funders, the Games for Change Festival audience, and an on-stage panel of judges who will follow your pitch with questions and feedback.
Previous Pitch Event presenters include 1979 Revolution, Nevermind, and We Are Chicago.
Accepted games will receive two complimentary passes to the Games for Change Festival. There is no fee for submissions.
CRITERIA FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS
All eligible submissions must first meet the following basic criteria for consideration:
How can games address political events unfolding in the United States or around the world that have caused significant division or disruption? G4C is looking for games that encourage engagement, understanding, collaboration, and respectful dialogue.
A game for change
All games must fall broadly within the confines of being a game for social impact: addressing current and/or pressing social issues, aiming to produce sustainable and positive impact on society and/or individuals.
All submissions must be in a digital format. Projects such as an alternate reality game (ARG) or a live-action game must include robust documentation in digital file format. We are unfortunately not able to consider board, card, or other games that do not have digital components.
G4C will evaluate each game’s potential attributes related to impact, innovation, and gameplay.
