Visual artists from throughout Minnesota are invited to participate in the Paramount Center for the Arts Juried Exhibition which will take place in August and September 2017. The focus of this competition will be for artists to offer work that will share and show their values. The hope is that creative exploration will help artists and viewers alike to make personal meaning of the world around us and will foster connections between diverse people with varying perspectives.
From successful entrants, three awards will be given 2D and three awards to 3D
Prizes in 2D and 3D Categories will be:
2nd place- $400
Eligibility/Rules for entry:
Open to all artists currently residing in Minnesota. Each artist may submit up to two entries
Open to both 2D and 3D work in any media
All entries must be original to the artist and not previously entered in any Paramount sponsored exhibition
All 2D work must be suitably framed, wired with central hanging system (eye hooks and wire across the back of the framed piece.) 2D work without the proper wire will not be accepted.
2D work (including paintings) cannot exceed 60 inches in any dimension, including frame, and should not exceed 30 lbs. in weight
Any 3D work should not exceed 6’x3’ wide in any direction (Any work weighing more than 50lbs. must be installed by the artist.)
Artists may submit 2 works for consideration and 2 images of each piece
Entry fee of $25 will cover both pieces * All entries may be submitted to
Deadline of Entry: July 28th at 5:00 pm
Accepted artists will be notified by August 7th
All accepted art should be dropped off no later than 12:00 pm on Monday, August 14th at the Visual Arts Office at the Paramount Center for the Arts. Please have attached Name and title to each piece.
