• Subscription LISTSERV Mailing List Request Form

    Please fill out this form to request the creation of a subscription LISTSERV mailing list for your department.

  • Requested List Name

    The requested list name will be part of the email address that is used to send messages to the list. For example, if "English" is the requested list name, the email address for the list will be english@lists.wheaton.edu.

    Please follow the naming conventions listed in the appendix of the Internal Digital Notification Policy.

  • List Title

    The list title is a more descriptive name for your list that will appear in the Web console and in reports. It will also appear in the message header of any messages that you send to the list. For example, if "English Department" is the list title, and english@lists.wheaton.edu is the list name, the header will look like this: "English Department ."

  • List Description

    The list description is text that provides a brief summary of the list. This description is available to anyone who retrieves the public portions of the list header and it is displayed on the list's home page and archive index.

  • List Owner(s)

    The list owner will receive notices if someone has requested to subscribe to your list. At least one list owner is required. You may specify up to three additional owners in the initial application or, add them at a later date by e-mail after your requested list has been approved. Be careful to enter only valid e-mail addresses.

    Note: If you wish to be a list owner, you will need to include yourself in the owner list below. Only owners with valid email addresses will be able to access the web interface to perform owner functions.

  • List Editor

    The list editor will be able to send messages to the list.

    Note: In most cases, the list editor should be the department email address. If your department does not have an email address, please request one following these steps, otherwise an exception may be made.
