The Alpha Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Ivy Endowment, Inc. is now accepting applications for the 2017 - 2018 ASCEND℠ program. The ASCEND℠ program was developed to motivate, engage, and assist high school students, both male and female, in reaching their maximum potential. This enrichment skills program will focus on career and college exploration, achievement, self-awareness, communication, community service, networking, development skills, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
One core component of the program is an introduction to SMART careers (science, math, and related technologies). By the end of a student’s participation in the ASCEND℠ program, students will be better positioned to transition to college life or the workplace.
