Energy Reduction Plan
The Energy Recution Plan (ERP) is the essential component of a site's participation in a demand response program. It defines the steps to be followed by involved individuals to achieve the site's energy reduction goals. It can be as detailed or general as appropriate, as long as everyone involved in its execution understands it and is able to follow the steps outlined when a demand response event is dispatched.
Below are some examples of statements that are frequently used in an ERP. Please enter this site's ERP in the box below that define the steps to be followed by the individuals involved with demand response execution at this site. After this is submitted, your EnerNOC Demand Response Market Lead will contact you to discuss details and help you to finalize the ERP. The final plan and all site contact role information will be made visible in the EnerNOC system to everyone having login access to it when a demand response event is dispatched.
Examples:
- Shut down production lines 1,2,3,4.
- Increase air conditioning setpoints on BMS by 5 degrees.
- Shut down elevator banks 2,3,4,6,7,8.

- Curtail all non-essential lighting, motors and other machinery.
- Conduct full shutdown of entire facility (break down into relevant tasks as appropriate).
- Activate two (2) backup generators and transfer loads to them.
- Curtail 50% of facility load as achievable while monitoring current demand in the EnerNOC system.
