The Woodberry Poetry Room (WPR) invites poets, artists, and scholars to apply for the 2018-2019 WPR Creative Fellowship ($4,000).
Past recipients of the fellowship have included Kate Colby, Fanny Howe, Erin Moure and Eileen Myles. In certain years, WPR Creative Grants ($1,000) have been offered to selected applicants. Past WPR Creative Grant recipients have included Dan Beachy-Quick and Lillian-Yvonne Bertram.
Applicants are invited to propose literary, multidiciplinary and/or creative scholarly projects that would benefit from the substantive resources available at the Woodberry Poetry Room and its audio-video archive. The Fellow is expected to be in residence for at least 7 days during the period from October 2018 through April 2019. If the Poetry Room's schedule permits, the WPR Fellow will be asked to make a recording for the Poetry Room’s archive and/or to present their work-in-progress during their visit as a part of the WPR's public programming.
To be considered, applicants should complete the following form which requires:
- a narrative description of the proposed creative project which highlights the applicability of the Poetry Room's collection materials to the project
- a list of the collection material that will be consulted
- a current cirriculum vitae
- two letters of support (under separate cover)
The deadline for submission is Friday, January 19, 2018. For further information, contact Christina Davis at davis2@fas.harvard.edu.
Please note: the following is a single-session form and sessions cannot be saved. You may wish to compose the requested narrative portions and paste in at a later time.
