  • Online Orientation: Introduction

Congratulations on your decision to join the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College to further your education. We are excited to have you join our community! At UC Blue Ash: we make it possible, you make it happen! We hope this online orientation will provide you some tools to help you succeed as a new UC Blue Ash bearcat.

We have divided the material into five sections to help organize your administrative, financial, academic and social responsibilities as a Blue Ash Bearcat. Each page of this orientation is dedicated to one of these sections.  On each page, review the pertinent information and respond accurately to the quiz questions at the end.  You will receive a green "correct" message box when you have answered correctly.  Keep reviewing the information and trying new selections to advance to the next page.

You can access the online orientation at any time to review information.  Please note that you must complete the online orientation from start to finish at least once to earn credit for completion. You will submit a short survey at the end of the orientation to confirm your completion. In addition to the online orientation, you have access to the “post-orientation checklist” which will be a guide to the necessary things to accomplish before your first day of classes. The checklist is electronically available in the left column of the Transfer Orientation website. Just click on the link to any item in the checklist and you will be directed to the associated page where you can complete each task. The items are listed in the preferred order of completion, so start at the top and work your way down.

Please feel free to contact the Student Life office if you have any questions throughout the online orientation: (513) 745-5773 or bastdlfe@uc.edu.

  • Online Orientation: One Stop Overview

If you have questions about course registration, financial aid, or changing any of your personal or academic records, you will be directed to the One Stop Center. Depending on your inquiry, you could be directed to the online OneStop portal , the physical location at UC Blue Ash (150 Muntz Hall, 745-5740), or the OneStop Center in Clifton (556-1000). If you have questions, it is best to first check the website for answers, then contact the UC Blue Ash OneStop Center for assistance.

    Course Registration

The OneStop website will be your primary resource when viewing class offerings and registering for courses. Instructions for these tasks are available in the Orientation Guide Book, available under the "New Student Guide" tab at left. We recommend that you make an appointment with your academic advisor to register for your first semester of classes at UC Blue Ash. Your academic advisor will help you navigate the course offerings on the OneStop website and will support you in course selection and registration. Your academic advisor will help assure you are meeting the requirements to complete your degree in a timely fashion.  Make an appointment with your academic advisor by calling the Advising Center at 513-745-5753.

    Billing

Bills are NOT mailed to you.  You can check your bill by logging into the OneStop website, select the link to "Billing, Payments, & Refunds" and then the button to "View/Pay My Bill." You can pay your bill online with e-check or credit card (note: an additional fee is charged for credit card payments).  Or in-person with check or money order. The bill is dues 5 days prior to the start of each semester. Late fees in excess of $200 will apply to any balances not paid by the first day of class. If you drop or add any classes, your bill will change. Additionally, financial aid can change unexpectedly so be sure to check your bill regularly.

    Financial Aid

The government will offer financial assistance in the form or loans and grants to students based on their Expected Family Contribution (EFC). You can apply for this financial assistance through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. It is recommended that you complete the FAFSA as early as possible each year, but at least 6 weeks prior to your enrollment start date. You can use the OneStop website to view your application status, access necessary forms, and complete steps to accept your FAFSA offer.  The OneStop representatives can assist you through this process as well.
