  • 1. Introduction

  • The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment and energy saving identification scheme for large undertakings and their corporate groups which applies throughout the UK.

    In order to become a Lead Assessor candidates must document their involvement, for at least two years in the previous five, in a role/project in professional energy assessment and energy audit experience relevant to PAS51215 (can be purchased at http://shop.bsigroup.com/).

    Elmhurst will look at your application form and map your skills, experience and qualifications gained during your career as an Energy professional. The second part of our process will be to carry out a professional discussion, which will be conducted via telephone to review the information you have included in your application. Proving successful completion through the mapping process, within 15 working days, you will be booked onto one of Elmhurst’s Lead Assessor training courses. This can be booked via our online training system, for which there will be a fee.

    Although not a pre-requisite, candidates who hold membership of a professional body should provide evidence of their membership.

    Payment of lodgement fees by direct debit is free, non direct debit payments are subject to a surcharge of 3% (minimum of £3.00).
