• Online audit checklist for MSC Certification - Initial Audit

  • This form is to check conformity with the MSC requirements as outlined in the Policy Manual, in cases where you don't need an audit on-site.

    You will be asked to upload some evidence - in general this means photos - and a normal smartphone photo is fine. You can upload multiple images - and if you are unsure what is required - there are some good examples here

  • PART 1 of 5 - THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MSC REPRESENTATIVE

    The MSC representative is the person with overall responsibility for the MSC requirements in the business. This is normally the owner or site manager, and they should complete this form. All staff need some understanding about MSC - but you are the person who needs to be really clued up, so this form will test that you understand the requirements as well!

  • PART 2 of 5 - SOURCING AND ORDERING

    Here you are asked to provide information and evidence that you are buying MSC certified products, from certified suppliers, and how you manage ordering and deliveries.

    note - if you aren't selling any MSC certified fish yet - just fill in as much of this page as you can. I may need to come back to you for more evidence later.

    Staff need some form to training to make sure they understand how to order, store, and sell MSC certified fish. Training must be appropriate to the role of each staff member, so not everyone will need to know everything.
