Please help us select the winners of the 2015 LEDS Global Partnership Champion Awards.
We will recognize the award winners at the fourth annual global workshop on October 14-16, 2015 at the Melia Caribe Tropical Hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This event will bring together leading officials and practitioners from countries and international institutions in a highly interactive and member-led format, to share lessons and strengthen cooperation on climate-resilient low emission development around the world.
The three award categories are:

Our Selection Criteria are:
- General criteria that apply to all award categories (“Leading Design”, “Acting on Implementation”, and “Achieving Results”):
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of LEDS and green growth as evidenced by acting with the view that environmental considerations such as greenhouse gas mitigation can go hand-in-hand with meeting social and economic goals; i.e., addressing social, economic, ecological, and governance conditions
- Significance of the work in meeting key challenges and priorities
- Effective and innovative use of tools and approaches supported by the LEDS GP and its components (including the regional platforms and working groups)
- Incorporation of elements to ensure sustainable, lasting effects
- Intensive use of stakeholder consultations, and strong communication approaches
- Action at multiple levels of government and society, such as national, provincial/state, municipal, the business community, and civil society
- Personal presence and leadership
- Additional, specific criteria that apply to each award category:
- “Leading Design”
- Development of a strong analytical basis for design, such as inventories, baselines, and institutional arrangements
- Assembling cross-functional teams to support design
- Development of effective institutional arrangements
- Development of innovative approaches
- “Acting on Implementation”
- Development of effective policies, programs, and regulations
- Strong engagement with potential sources of financing and funding
- Commitment to an evidence-based approach, and to ongoing monitoring and evaluation

- Actual measured benefits for social, economic and environmental goals
