HIFE CCP Consultant Agreement

HIFE CPP Consultant Registration & Agreement Consultant web based training instructions The HIFE CPP Training will be administered through an online Learning Management System that will guide each participant through the certification process and exam. In Canada the training will be administed through a digital format. There is a $95 fee (preferred providers only) to go through the certification with the Heartland Institute of Financial Education. This fee includes the first year fee for a HIFE Email as well as access to the Heartland Online Software system. Please read the Instructions below before continuing on to the Consultant Agreement: Consultant Certification Phase 1:1. Upon Submitting this agreement you will be redirected to the Heartland Payment site where you need to pay the $95 training fee. 2. Once HIFE has approved the agreement and verified payment, you will receive an email that contains instructions on how to access your HIFE Email account.
3. Once logged in to your HIFE Email you will have an email that contains instructions and user information to access the HIFE Online Certification. You will have 30 days to complete the Online Training and Exam from the date you receive this email 4. Upon completion of the HIFE Online Certification and successfully passing the Consultant exam you will be provided instructions to complete Phase 2 of the Consultant certification process Consultant Certification Phase 2: 5. In your HIFE Email account you will have an email that provides login instructions to the Heartland Software account. Once logged in you will need to complete the 3 short assessments. 6. Once the assessment tests are completed you can take a short 25 question test on the Heartland Kuder software. 7. The final step will be to enroll at least 1 student into the HIFE College Planning Program! Please Complete the information on the next page in order to register for the online Training and to Apply for the HIFE College Planning Program.

HIFE CPP College Consultant Agreement
Recitals: The Heartland Institute of Financial Education (HIFE), is a non-profit organization, endorsed by a Consortium of colleges and universities throughout the United States, which specializes in providing college funding research and coaching for select students/families, as well as offering financial wellness education courses for companies and their employees, associations, various other entities and the public. The consultant will enroll students and provide assistance to families they enroll in the HIFE College Planning Program. Purpose: HIFE and the consultant believe that, by joining forces, they will be able to increase the service that each provide, enhancing college educational funding opportunities for students throughout the United States. Term: The term of this agreement will continue annually by mutual agreement. Responsibilities: HIFE agrees to:1. Endorse the consultant as an individual for which, HIFE will provide college planning and financial education funding research and coaching support.2. Provide necessary research and adequate coaching services to qualified students.3. Pay the consultant a predetermined portion of the initial fee charged to qualified students and families for the required research and coaching services. The Consultant Agrees to
1. Endorse the Heartland Institute of Financial Education as a non-profit entity which provides college planning and a search for college funding support and opportunities. 2. Endorse HIFE as the only organization which they recommend to families and students for researching financial support for college educational purposes 3. Aid the control of research and coaching for students and their families to HIFE. 4. Provide support services to families you enroll. 5. Pay certification fee of $95 (this includes 1st year of HIFE Email and the Heartland Online Software account). 6. Complete online certification training: - Phase One must be completed within 30 days of receiving access to the HIFE Online Certification program - Phase Two must be completed in within 90 days after certification. 7. Minimum Requirement of 2 CPP Enrollments per year. If the minimum requirement is not met an additional fee of $100 will be assessed along with additional training requirements.

Implementation: Steps:
1. For purposes of this relationship, HIFE and the consultant may identify specific geographic areas for said Consultants to operate within. As of the date of this agreement this area is the metro area of the consultant’s resident city/metro area. 2. HIFE may restrict the number of qualified Consultants within each geographic area. Currently this number is 50.
Copyright and Intellectual Property Provisions: All existing copyrights, intellectual property rights, trademarks and trade secrets of either of the parties to this Agreement shall remain the exclusive property of the respective party. Copyright and Trademark laws, under Federal, and/or State of Common Law, shall protect the rights of each party, as well the rights to each party’s specific intellectual property and trade secrets. Expenses: Each party will be responsible for its separate expenses and arising from its respective Responsibilities. Any sharing of expenses will be evaluated and determined on a case-by-case basis, and shall be reduced to a signed addendum to this Agreement. Binding Effect: This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding and agreement between the parties. All terms and conditions of this Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties hereto and their respective successors and assigns. This Agreement may not be modified except by a written agreement signed by both parties. Mediation/Arbitration Clause:Any dispute that arises between the parties as a result of this Agreement, or subsequent documents or agreements, shall be resolved in mediation by an independent mediator chosen by the parties. The mediation shall occur in Aurora, Colorado. If a dispute is not resolved by mediation, the parties agree to utilize binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any judgment or finding of award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. The parties agree to share equally in the cost of the mediation or arbitration. Term:The contract period for the above Agreement is for a one-year period, renewed automatically as long as the college consultant completes their annual requirements and does not violate any of HIFE’s rules of conduct. Additionally, the contract may be terminated by either party without cause at any time with verbal or written notice. Confidentiality Agreement Consultant will:- Treat all information collected in a confidential manner and in accordance with the HIFE Privacy Policy and all federal law, rules and policies.- Not share any information collected with any other person(s).- Represent HIFE in a professional manner at all times.- Respect all other College Consultants and their clients by not contacting other consultant’s clients in any manner at any time.
HIFE CPP College Consultant Code of Ethics
Upon receiving the College Consultant certification, I agree to the following Code of Ethics Statement: I will embrace honesty and ethical behavior, while always supporting the worth and dignity of the individual. I will nurture relationships and promote an atmosphere of open communication and trust. I believe in accountability for choices and responsibility for behavior. I agree that interdependence leads to responsible independence and I commit to the personal growth of each client with whom I work by enhancing financial literacy through financial education. I will comply with all rules and regulations of HIFE. I understand that HIFE has the full authority to revoke my Certification if it finds that I have failed to comply with the College Consultant Code of Ethics. If HIFE determines that a consultant has violated any policy or procedure or has represented themselves in a manner that is deemed inappropriate, HIFE will use the following disciplinary actions: Minor infraction - A written warning explaining the offense and how to avoid repeating the undesired action. Moderate infraction -Suspension from participating in any HIFE program for 90 days and probation for 1 yr upon return to active status. Severe infraction -Termination from all HIFE programs Depending upon severity of the offense HIFE may implement any of the actions above for the 1st offense. Minor infractions would be defined as something that is inappropriate but not cause any severe or permanent impact on the business operations of HIFE. Moderate offense would be an action that would/could cause an immediate impact on the business of HIFE or damage the reputation of HIFE. A major infraction would be of a nature to cause an immediate and severe impact on the business operation of HIFE or a severe tarnish of the reputation of HIFE. Multiple minor or moderate infractions may result in termination from all HIFE programs I understand that all fees for the program are non-refundable.
HIFE Email and Heartland Software Agreement

Upon approval and successfully completing the $95 payment an email will be sent to email account provided on Page 1 of this agreement within 2 business days that will contain instructions on how to access your HIFE Email. The Heartland Institute holds the right to change the pricing of its programs, including this email agreement. - HIFE is pleased to announce that we now have the ability to offer an e-mail account with the @hife-usa.org extension. - HIFE email is only available for HIFE CPP College Consultants, HIFE Education Coordinators, and HIFE CFEd® Registry Instructors. - Your HIFE e-mail address will be your first name.last name or a variation thereof. The undersigned agrees to the following terms for the use of a HIFE e-mail account
1. HIFE owns and controls the e-mail address 2. This e-mail account can be cancelled at any time, without prior notice, by HIFE. 3. HIFE e-mail addresses may only be used for HIFE business. 4. The user agrees to random audits by HIFE. 5. Spam is strictly prohibited. Any activity related to spam marketing in any way is prohibited. If a HIFE CPP College Consultant, HIFE Education Coordinator, and/or a HIFE CFEd® Registry Instructor is found to be engaging in any spam activity their participation in all HIFE Programs may be suspended and/or terminated. 6. After the first year there is an annual payment of $40 which is required to maintain the Email account 7. The user must remain in good standing with the Heartland Institute in order to maintain access to both the HIFE Email and Heartland Software accounts.
