THE CORLISS KNAPP ENGLE SCHOLARSHIP IN HORTICULTURE

Open to undergraduate students, graduate students, and advanced degree candidates, or non-degree-seeking applicants above the high school level. Eligibility is open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled in a U.S.-based institution.

Funds one or more scholarships annually at $3,000 to support study at an accredited college, university, or major botanic garden or arboretum. Projects may include but are not restricted to plant propagation, photographic documentation of studies and research projects, the acquisition of skills for working with horticulture collections, and research in horticulture in the broadest sense.

REFERENCES: Two letters of recommendation are required to be eligible for a GCA scholarship.

Reference #1: One from your advisor on your academic progress and achievements, personal qualities, and qualifications for the program or project you have developed or selected.

Reference #2: The second letter should be from a professor familiar with your work and interests including information on the program or project you have developed/selected.

* If you have applied to a program but are not yet enrolled, please provide information on the program, as well as, confirmation of your acceptance. All applicants must comply with the educational and eligibility requirements of the Engle Scholarship to guarantee its provisions.
