The CAAWS free spay program is a needs-based program meant to help low-income families spay their pets. The maximum income guidelines for low income program are listed in the table below. Please accurately complete the application in its entirety. If you qualify for our low income program, you will be asked to schedule the surgery at the CAAWS approved veterinary clinic. A CAAWS volunteer will send the voucher to the veterinary clinic. The voucher will cover the cost of the surgery and the rabies vaccination. All costs above and beyond the surgery, including additional vaccinations, in-heat or pregancy charges, testing, etc. are the responsibility of the animal's owner. Applicants must be residents of one of the following parishes: East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Livingston, Iberville, East Feliciana, West Feliciana
Please note you will be responsible for purchasing a rabies license if required by law. If your animal is already up to date, you will need to provide the veterinary clinic with proof of rabies.
You may only apply for one animal per form submitted.
