The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women and the Mather Spotlight Awards Selection Committee invite nominations of CWRU women faculty, staff, and students for the biennial Mather Spotlight Award, which recognizes the achievements of two women faculty, two women staff, one woman graduate or professional student, and one woman undergraduate student whose outstanding professional accomplishments, leadership, and service have had a significant positive impact on our university and campus community.*
The Mather Spotlight Awards Selection Committee will accept nominations from peers, colleagues, or supervisors.
All nominations must be received by May 15, 2015.
*Please note: The Mather Spotlight Awards previously occurred on an annual basis and recognized the scholarly achievements of eight women faculty members, each selected by their respective schools. The awards have now expanded so as to recognize the contributions and achievements of women staff and students, as well as women faculty members, and the awards ceremony will occur on a biennial basis going forward.
Awards Funding
The awardees will each receive a modest monetary award and will be recognized at the Women of Achievement Awards Luncheon in October 2015. The Mather Spotlight Awards for faculty have been made possible through the Mather Centennial Endowment Fund, which supports the scholarly and research endeavors of women faculty at Case Western Reserve University. Funding for staff and student honorees comes from the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women.
