Use this form to submit for HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS.
CEU contact hours are rounded up -3 hrs or 1.5 hrs proposals. Actual working minutes are slightly shorter with the 3 hours= 2hrs and 45 minutes ,90 minutes = 75 minutes of work time. A fifteen minute space is needed between workshops. You must be able to share that 15 minute between time with the next leader in the room.
A workshop must be hands-on workshop. Participants will be expecting to "make and take". If not you need to use the other form for a 45 minute presentation at http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50402898161960
Your participants will be seated at tables. Tables and floors will be covered for messy situations.
A maximum of two presenters. Both must be NCAEA/NAEA current members. Membership must stay current through Nov. 31st, 2015. You will have a NCAEA Board facilitator/monitor in your workshop. They will assist with needs such as set up, name roster checks, run errands, evaluation forms, etc.
Each presenter will be given a .5 CEU Leadership Certificate for conducting a workshop. Your LEA has the final decision to accept your CEU certificates (like always).
You are responsible for computers and LCD Projectors. The hotel will have extension power cable access in the rooms only. If you need a multiple outlet plug (hopefully there is one in the room) it would be best to carry one to be sure you have all that you need. We cannot rent the LCDs from a hotel due to the outrageous rental fees they impose.
SUPPLIES AND REIMBURSEMENT: A materials fee is charged for a workshop which covers your supply expenses. We add more cost to cover the floor and table covering and the room rental fees, so you will see a higher fee than what you propose on the registration form. We do not make any workshops free for this reason. YOU may make your expense part free but we must cover the other expenses with a participant fee. Low cost workshops are preferred. You are working with your colleagues on budgets. (NOTE: If you must buy special items with the participant's materials fee such as heat gun, glue guns, etc., those items should be used as door prizes at the end of your workshop for the participants,... not to supply your classroom later. This has to be mentioned because of past complaints by participants)
You are reimbursed for supplies, not your time. Wish we could do more, but, we financially cannot afford it. (Your overall registration fee would have to be increased a lot to cover paying leaders!) We are happy to give you CEU Leadership hours.
Please keep all original sales receipts. You must turn these in to the Treasurer at the conference to get reimbursed. A reimbursement form will be sent approx. two weeks before the conference so you can tally and have it ready to turn in at conference with your receipts stapled to it.

Notifications: email notifications will be sent out around April 30th of your acceptance or non acceptance. If you have not been notified by May 15th, please email Sandra Williams at art4ncaea@gmail.com. Your email message may have not gone through. Some school systems block our NCAEA notifications, so it is best to give a home email address. There will also be a notice on Facebook alerting all that an email notification is being sent to all and to check emails, spam mails, etc. If you do not check your school email during summer month please use a home email address so you can be reached if necessary in the summer
Cancellation: If you must cancel being a presenter, please notify Sandra ASAP. We will have others on a waiting list to take your place.
CONTACT: The form below should show all information of the person completing this form. A co-presenter space is available for name, membership number and email contact only. They too, will receive CEU hours and certificate.
