Eric Brooks Leader Award
"A Mountaineering and Ski Mountaineering Award for a Strong Commitment To Learning and Applying Technical and Leader Skills"
The ACC Leader Award was instituted in 2001. It was renamed in 2005.
This award is presented to members of the Alpine Club of Canada who have demonstrated a strong, consistent commitment to learn and apply technical and leader skills in mountaineering or ski mountaineering on National or Section organized activities.
It is intended that this award be given to members as recognition of their first efforts in providing leadership to the ACC. The Eric Brooks Leader Award would usually be awarded to members before consideration for the Silver Rope for Leadership Award.
Nominations for this award may be made by any ACC member on this nomination form no later than December 31st. The Awards Committee will evaluate and present the submitted nominations to the Board of Directors prior to the Annual General Meeting. Approval of a nomination requires not less than two-thirds of the voting members of the Awards Committee. Award recipients will receive their award at the AGM or in some other suitable manner.
