The Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Green Show is seeking, highly motivated, Rogue Valley high school students to apply for the Professional Experience and Education Program (PEEP). This program is made possible in part by a World of Work Grant from the Oregon Arts Commission, in partnership with Ashland High, North Medford High, South Medford High and Crater Renaissance Academy. This season, we will select 6 to 8 outstanding applicants to work with us as part of this educational program.
Students interested in applying must obtain a written recommendation from their theatre, music or English teacher or school advisor. In addition, students must be available to work at least 4 full weeks of Green Show calls plus an additional 60 hours of special projects between the dates of June 11 through August 31 (scheduling is flexible and done ahead of time), weekly meetings/check-ins and classes taught by Oregon Shakespeare Professionals.
Students will recieve a stipend and complimentary tickets (subject to rules and availability) to OSF productions. Travel reimbursements also available.
20 to 25 students will be accepted to participate in the final selection process. A mandatory sound workshop will be held on Saturday, May 24 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday, May 25 2014 from 10am to 6pm. Participation is required. The final 6 to 8 students will be selected on Sunday, May 25 2014.
