All players, parents, and coaches who participate in the SoCal Hoops, All-Star Sports, and AthletIQ Connect programs, agree to all the terms and conditions specified herein.  By participating in the basketball programs and accessing the website and related content, you hereby agree to all the terms and conditions.  

All SoCal Hoops Basketball Academy memberships and enrollment agreements are non-refundable. This includes programs paid in full, which are offered at significantly discounted rates in exchange for a 6-month or 12-month commitment. Once enrollment is confirmed, training spots, staffing, and resources are allocated specifically for the athlete, making refunds inconsistent with fair and responsible business practices. For this reason, requests for refunds at any point during the commitment period cannot be honored. We encourage families to review all program details carefully and ensure alignment before enrolling, as enrollment signifies agreement to these terms.

 

PLAYER WAIVER

In consideration of my child participating in any way in the SoCal Hoops Basketball Academy, Fight ON! Mentality, All-Star Sports, AthletIQ Connect, and/or Motor Monstars related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges that the risk of injury and illness (ex: communicable diseases such as MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19) to my child/ward from the activities involved in these programs is significant, including the potential for permanent disability and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce these risks, the risks of serious injury and illness do exist; and,

I, FOR MYSELF, SPOUSE, AND CHILD, AND TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS OF INJURY TO MY CHILD, both known and unknown and, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES (as defined below) or others (including fellow players), and assume full responsibility for my child's participation; and,

I willingly agree to comply with the program's stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If I observe any unusual significant concern in my child's readiness for participation in the Program or in the Program itself, I will remove my child from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest Program official immediately; and,

I, for myself, my spouse, my child, and on behalf of my/our heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SoCal Hoops, All-Star Sports, AthletIQ Connect and its directors, officers, officials, agents, employees, volunteers, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the Program (referred to in this Agreement as "Releasees"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property arising out of or related to my child's involvement or participation in these Programs, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I, for myself, my spouse, my child, and on behalf of my/our heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS all the above Releasees from any and all liabilities arising out of or related incident to our involvement or participation in these Programs, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THEIR NEGLIGENCE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT. I HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO CONSULT AN ATTORNEY BEFORE SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At SoCal Hoops Basketball Academy, we are committed to providing high-level basketball training, athletic performance development, mental mindset coaching, and long-term player development throughout the duration of each training agreement, membership, season, camp, clinic, or program enrollment.

If a family chooses to cancel participation before the completion of the agreed term, all training sessions, classes, camps, clinics, evaluations, performance training, coaching services, and related programming already provided will be prorated at the standard enrollment rates in effect at that time, not at any discounted, promotional, team, bundled, scholarship, prepaid, or special membership pricing previously extended to the family.

Any remaining balance or eligible refund amount will be calculated accordingly after applying the standard value of all services rendered prior to cancellation. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing for processing and review.

I have read and agree to the Release of Liability Authorization.  By filling out the waiver form and clicking on the I ACCEPT button, I hereby acknowledge and agree to all the above information, signed as the parent or legal guardian of the above designated player.

I hereby give permission to SoCal Hoops, All-Star Sports, AthletIQ Connect and affiliated companies as well as tournament organizers for images and video of my child, captured during games, practices, and training sessions through video, photo and digital camera, to be used solely for the purposes of promotional material, publications, video break-down, testimonials, and analysis and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.
