  • The cost of tuition does not include transportation to and from the camp and personal expenses, therefore these fees would not be covered through financial assistance. Texas Arts Project can only reward up to 50% tuition to qualified applicants.

  • Portfolio Submissions - Mail to St. Stephen's Episcopal School; Attn. Texas Arts Project; 6500 St. Stephen's Drive; Austin, TX 78746.

  • TAP JUNIOR  Include one or more of the following, with each portion under two minutes in length (1) A dance combination from a recital (2) A floor combination typically done in one of your dance classes (3) An acting monologue from a play or musical (4) A song performance from musical theatre literature. Use an accompaniment tape or a live accompanist. A capella is strongly discouraged.

  • TAP SENIOR & ADVANCED ACTING MAJORS  Present two contrasting monologues, each between one and two minutes in length. Selected pieces should reflect differing characters and/or styles in order to demonstrate the range of talent. Your monologue selections should be characters from published plays. We are looking for evidence of a true understanding of both the character and full context of the monologue. We are looking for naturalness and honesty. Please, no costumes or clips from previous performances.

  • TAP SENIOR & ADVANCED MUSICAL THEATRE MAJORS  Include two of the following three options: (1) two contrasting songs from musical theatre literature (32 bars each). Be sure one song is up-tempo and the other is a ballad. Additionally, one must have been written before 1965, and the other after 1965. Songs must be performed with a piano accompanist or an accompaniment tape. No a capella. We are looking for natural and honest performers. Please, no costume and no clips from previous performances. (2) One contemporary monologue between one and two minutes in length. Your monologue selections should be characters from published plays. We are looking for evidence of a true understanding of both the character and full context of the monologue. We are looking for naturalness and honesty. Please, no costumes or clips from previous performances. (3) Either a one-minute floor combination of any dance style or a recently taped solo, no more than two minutes in length.

  • FILMMAKING MAJORS Include one of the following (1) A compete film project under 5 minutes in length (2) A treatment for a film idea. A treatment is a "written pitch" for a project. The treatment should be 1-5 pages typed in prose form.
