The Morrison Fund was established in the name of one of USA Rugby’s most accomplished referees and long time administrators, Don Morrison. This fund will allow an aspiring referee (aged 18-25) to travel to and spend an entire season in a major rugby country, refereeing and being fully immersed in the culture.
This year, the aspiring referee will spend the entire 2014 season in Christchurch, New Zealand as a full time member of the Canterbury Referee Association. This will entail staying in Christchurch from late March through August.
The Morrison Fund will cover all costs including travel, lodging and living expenses and will also fund promotional activities after the recipient's return. The scholarship recipient will commit to complete immersion in the New Zealand culture, including seeking employment. Applications must be recieved by January 17th, 2014.
